Civil Cases

Dram Shop

Jane Doe was killed in a head-on crash, along with her friend, due to the negligence of a drunk driver. The parties hired Robert Q. Whitwell to represent them. During the investigative stages, it was discovered by Whitwell that the drunk driver had been drinking at a local bowling alley. After interviewing numerous members of the bowling league, Whitwell uncovered that the lounge bartender had sold drinks to the driver after knowing he was intoxicated. The bowling alley was joined in the suit. After taking the depositions of the witnesses in the case, the claims were settled for $550,000.00. The names of the parties are confidential.
